Sweden - Midnattssol - original drawing.
By Veronique VanblaereInspired by my trip in Sweden.
In Sweden, the phenomenon of the midnight sun is known as Midnattssol. It's a natural occurrence in the country's northern regions, primarily Swedish Lapland, where the sun remains above the horizon for 24 hours a day during the summer months, roughly from late May to mid-July, and beyond the Arctic Circle it is the Midsommar (summer solstice). This extended daylight allows for unique outdoor activities like hiking and swimming at any hour, creating a magical, illuminated Arctic landscape.
